This Privacy Notice for The Stage ("we," "us," or "our"), describes how and why we might access, collect, store, use, and/or share ("process") your personal information when you use our services ("Services"), including when you:
- Download and use our mobile application (The Stage), or any other application of ours that links to this Privacy Notice
- Engage with us in other related ways, including any marketing or events
Questions or concerns? Reading this Privacy Notice will help you understand your privacy rights and choices. We are responsible for making decisions about how your personal information is processed. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our Services. If you still have any questions or concerns, please contact us at privacy@thestage.actor.
Summary of Key Points
This summary provides key points from our Privacy Notice, but you can find more details about any of these topics by clicking the link following each key point or by using the table of contents below.
- What personal information do we process?
- When you visit, use, or navigate our Services, we may process personal information depending on how you interact with us, the choices you make, and the products and features you use.
- Do we process any sensitive personal information?
- Some information may be considered "special" or "sensitive" in certain jurisdictions: for example racial or ethnic origin, health, sexual orientation, and religious beliefs. We do not ask for or process this kind of sensitive data. Your headshots and voice recordings are stored as ordinary content and are never used to identify you biometrically.
- Do we collect any information from third parties?
- The only information we receive from a third party is what you choose to connect: if you link Google Calendar or YouTube, we receive your Google account email and a list of your own recent uploads, used only for that feature. You can disconnect anytime.
- Do we share your information with third parties?
- We share your information with our service providers (such as our hosting, database, and authentication providers) so we can operate the Services. On our marketing website we also share limited technical information with advertising partners to measure how our ads perform, and when you create an account our server tells those partners that a sign-up happened (identified only by a scrambled version of your email, never for users under 16, and never including anything you have made in the app). Both count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under some US state laws. We do not sell your information, and there is no advertising code inside The Stage app. You can opt out at any time: see Your Privacy Choices.
- How do we process your information?
- We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, communicate with you, for security and fraud prevention, and to comply with law. We process your information only when we have a valid legal reason to do so.
- How do we keep your information safe?
- We have organizational and technical processes and procedures in place to protect your personal information. However, no electronic transmission or storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
- What are your rights?
- Depending on where you are located geographically, applicable privacy law may give you certain rights regarding your personal information.
- How do you exercise your rights?
- The fastest way is right in the app: you can export or delete your data yourself in Settings at any time. You can also email us, and we will act on any request in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
1. What Information Do We Collect?
Personal information you disclose to us
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the Services, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, when you participate in activities on the Services, or otherwise when you contact us.
Personal Information Provided by You. The personal information that we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us and the Services, the choices you make, and the products and features you use. The personal information we collect may include the following:
- email address, to create and secure your account
- name (optional), to personalize your account
- your birth month and year only, never the exact day, collected once at sign-up for the sole purpose of confirming you meet our 13+ minimum age and applying extra safety protections automatically for users under 18
- profile, career, and craft content you choose to add, such as headshots, resume and credits, training, auditions, notes, and any voice recordings you make of yourself (like a voice memo). These stay private in your account; we never share them and never use them to clone your voice
- income and expense entries, only if you choose to use the optional Receipts bookkeeping feature to track your acting finances
Sensitive Information. We do not ask for or process special-category (sensitive) data such as race, ethnicity, health, religion, or biometric identifiers. Your headshots and voice recordings are stored as ordinary content and are never used to identify you biometrically.
All personal information that you provide to us must be true, complete, and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to such personal information.
Information automatically collected
We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate the Services. This information does not directly reveal your identity (such as your name) but may include device and usage data, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, referring URLs, pages viewed, and similar technical information. We collect this through first-party analytics and similar technologies (see "Cookies and similar technologies" below) to understand how the Services are used, maintain security, and improve the product.
Advertising measurement on our marketing website. On our marketing website (thestage.actor) we also use advertising and measurement technologies provided by advertising partners, so we can tell which of our ads brought someone to us. This is the only place advertising technologies run. There is no advertising or measurement code inside The Stage app itself (app.thestage.actor and our mobile apps) — though our server does report the fact of a sign-up, which we describe in full below, and we do not share your profile, career, or craft content, your headshots, self-tapes, or voice recordings with advertising partners. You can opt out of advertising cookies at any time: see Your Privacy Choices. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal automatically, we do not run usage analytics for users under 16, and we do not set analytics or advertising cookies for visitors in the EU, UK, or EEA.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar storage (such as local storage) for three purposes:
- Essential. Keeping you signed in and securing your account. These are first-party, always on, and cannot be turned off without breaking the Service.
- Usage analytics. First-party analytics that help us understand and improve the Services, provided by analytics service providers acting on our behalf. You can turn these off at any time.
- Advertising and measurement (marketing website only). On our marketing website (thestage.actor) we use cookies and similar technologies from advertising partners to measure the performance of our advertising, for example to tell that someone who signed up first arrived from a particular ad. Under some US state privacy laws this counts as "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can turn these off at any time.
Where advertising technologies are not used. We do not use advertising or measurement cookies inside The Stage app (app.thestage.actor and our mobile apps). The content you keep in the app, including your profile, career and craft content, headshots, self-tapes, notes, and voice recordings, is not shared with advertising partners.
The one thing we do send from the app, stated plainly. There is a single exception to the paragraph above, and we would rather spell it out than let you discover it. When you create an account, our server tells our advertising partners that a sign-up happened. This is how we tell which of our ads brought us a real actor rather than a passing click. We think it is worth being exact about what that does and does not involve:
- It is sent by our server, not by your browser or the app. There is no advertising code inside The Stage — none, on any platform — and we run an automated check on every build that fails if any ever appears.
- It says that a sign-up happened. Nothing else. No headshots, no self-tapes, no scenes, no notes, no recordings, no profile, no career data. None of your work is involved, and none of it ever will be.
- You are identified only by a scrambled, one-way version of your email address (a cryptographic hash), plus the advertising identifier from the ad you clicked, if you clicked one.
- If you are under 16, we do not send it. The check runs on our servers against the birth date you gave us at sign-up, which cannot be edited afterwards. It does not depend on anything in your browser.
- If you have opted out using Your Privacy Choices, or you are in the EU, UK, or EEA, or your browser sent a Global Privacy Control signal, no advertising identifier ever reaches us in the first place, so there is nothing to send.
EU, UK, and EEA visitors. We do not set analytics or advertising cookies for visitors we identify as being in the EU, UK, or EEA. Where the law requires your consent before non-essential cookies are set, we will ask for that consent and will not set those cookies unless you agree.
Your controls. You can turn usage analytics and advertising cookies off at any time, in your account settings or from the "Your Privacy Choices" link in our website footer, and we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals automatically (see Section 8). We do not run usage analytics for users under 16.
2. How Do We Process Your Information?
We process your personal information for a variety of reasons, depending on how you interact with our Services, including:
- To facilitate account creation and authentication and otherwise manage user accounts. We may process your information so you can create and log in to your account, as well as keep your account in working order.
- To respond to user inquiries / offer support to users. We may process your information to respond to your inquiries and solve any potential issues you might have with the requested service.
- To request feedback. We may process your information when necessary to request feedback and to contact you about your use of our Services.
- To send you marketing and promotional communications. If you opt in, we may use your email address to send occasional product updates and news about new features. You can unsubscribe at any time, we never add users under 16 to a marketing list, and you will always still receive essential account email such as sign-in codes.
The legal bases we rely on (for EU, UK, and EEA users). When we process the personal information needed to deliver the product you signed up for, such as your account, profile, career and craft content, and calendar, we rely on the performance of a contract with you: we need that information to provide the Service, so it does not require separate consent. For first-party usage analytics, which are not strictly necessary to run the product, we rely on our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the Service. We do not ask for separate opt-in consent for analytics, but you stay in control: you can turn usage analytics off at any time in Settings, and we automatically honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. For any marketing email, we rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. As an added safeguard, we do not send marketing to, or run usage analytics for, users under 16, and we do not set analytics or advertising cookies for visitors in the EU, UK, or EEA at all. Where the law requires your consent before non-essential cookies or advertising technologies are used, we will ask for it and will not set those cookies unless you agree. We also process limited information where we have a legal obligation (for example, retaining billing records) or a legitimate interest in keeping the Service secure.
3. When and With Whom Do We Share Your Personal Information?
We may need to share your personal information in the following situations:
Service Providers. We may share your information with third-party vendors and service providers who perform services for us or on our behalf and require access to such information to do that work. We use service providers in the following categories:
- Cloud hosting, database & authentication, running the Service and storing your account information so you can log in and use the Services.
- Media storage & content delivery, storing the photos, videos, and audio you upload, and serving them back to you over expiring private links.
- AI, speech & handwriting processing, generating a synthetic scene-partner voice from the script text you give Cue so you can rehearse (this is an AI-generated voice, not your own voice, and we never clone or reuse your voice), and converting handwritten notes you choose to scan into editable text.
- Reel rendering, combining the clips you select (which may include your face, name, and voice) into a finished video, primarily on infrastructure we operate ourselves, with a backup provider used only if ours is temporarily unavailable. Your clips stay in our private storage; renderers are granted temporary, time-limited access only to the specific clips in that reel and delete their working copies after the reel is produced or fails.
- Analytics & crash reporting, understanding how the Service is used and diagnosing errors.
- Email delivery, sending account and product emails.
- Payment & subscription processing, taking payment and managing subscriptions for the web and the iOS app (these providers receive your payment details directly; we never store your card number).
Advertising partners (marketing website only). Separately from the service providers above, we share limited technical information with advertising partners so we can measure how our advertising performs. These partners are not acting solely on our behalf, which is why we describe this as "sharing" rather than as a service-provider disclosure. On our marketing website (thestage.actor) the information involved is limited to things like your IP address, browser and device characteristics, the pages you viewed, and whether you arrived from one of our ads. Separately, when you create an account, our server sends these partners a single message saying that a sign-up happened, identified only by a scrambled, one-way version of your email address and the identifier of the ad you clicked. We do not send that message for users under 16. In neither case does the information include your profile, career, or craft content, your headshots, self-tapes, notes, or voice recordings, and in neither case is there any advertising code running inside The Stage app. You can opt out at any time (see Your Privacy Choices), we honor the Global Privacy Control signal automatically, and we do not set these technologies for visitors in the EU, UK, or EEA.
Our AI, speech, and handwriting-processing providers process your content solely to perform the task you requested and, per their terms, do not use it to train their models or sell or share it. Any copy we send to a provider to run that task is deleted from their servers shortly after it completes; the original stays saved in your own account, where you chose to keep it. We maintain a current list of the specific providers we use and will provide it on request at privacy@thestage.actor.
We work only with established service providers, and we require them to use your personal information solely to provide services to us, in line with their own privacy and security commitments and any data-processing agreement we have in place with them. We do not permit them to use your personal information for their own purposes or to share it with anyone other than us.
Business Transfers. We may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.
3a. Connected Google Services (Calendar & YouTube)
The Stage offers two optional integrations with Google services. Both are opt-in. You initiate the connection in Settings, you can disconnect anytime, and you can use the entire app without ever connecting either.
Google Calendar
When you connect Google Calendar, we create a dedicated calendar named "The Stage" in your Google account and push your auditions, bookings, and classes to it as events. We never read, modify, or delete events on any other calendar in your account. When you disconnect, you can opt to delete this calendar entirely (which removes all the events we created in one operation).
We request these scopes:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar, to create the dedicated calendar, push events to it, update them when you edit, and delete them when you remove the corresponding item in The Stage. We also use it to remove events on the dedicated calendar that no longer match anything in your Stage account.https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.email, to display "Connected as alice@gmail.com" in Settings so you can confirm you connected the correct account.
YouTube
When you connect YouTube, The Stage can upload self-tape videos you record in-app directly to your YouTube channel as unlisted videos, and the "Pick from your library" feature can list your recent uploads so you can attach an existing video to a scene without copy-pasting URLs.
We request these scopes:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.upload, to upload self-tape videos you record in The Stage to your YouTube channel. We never upload anything without you explicitly tapping the Upload button.https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.readonly, to list your most recent YouTube uploads for the "Pick from your library" picker. We never read video content, transcripts, comments, analytics, watch history, or subscriber data.https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.email, same as Calendar, to display the connected account in Settings.
OAuth tokens & security
The OAuth access and refresh tokens we receive from Google are stored encrypted at rest in our database. Decryption only ever happens on our servers, never on your device. When you disconnect a Google service, we call Google's token revocation endpoint to invalidate the tokens upstream, then delete our stored copy, so a copy of our database alone would be useless to an attacker.
Limited Use disclosure
The Stage's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
4. How Long Do We Keep Your Information?
We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements). No purpose in this notice will require us keeping your personal information for longer than the period of time in which users have an account with us.
When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.
Deactivating or deleting your account
You are in control of both of these, and you can do them yourself in the app with no need to contact us:
- Deactivate (reversible). In Settings → Danger Zone → Deactivate my account, you can hide your public Marquee page from the web and from search while keeping all of your data intact. Sign back in any time to reactivate.
- Delete permanently. In Settings → Danger Zone → End your run, you can start a 30-day countdown to permanent deletion. Your public page hides immediately, and you can sign back in within 30 days to recover everything. After day 30 it is permanent.
When you delete, we:
- Revoke all connected third-party tokens (Google Calendar, YouTube) at the providers' revocation endpoints
- Delete the encrypted token rows from our database
- Delete all your Stage data: auditions, bookings, classes, scenes, monologues, recordings, takes, and takes' associated media files in our storage buckets
- Optionally delete the dedicated "The Stage" calendar from your Google account (if you connected calendar sync), you choose at disconnect time
Residual copies may persist for up to 30 days in our infrastructure providers' routine encrypted backups before being purged on their normal rotation. After that window, no copy of your data remains in our systems. If you would rather we handle it for you, you can also email us at privacy@thestage.actor.
5. How Do We Keep Your Information Safe?
We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect your personal information: your data is stored in private, access-controlled storage, and media is served only over expiring, signed links. Like every online service, we cannot guarantee that any method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your information and to keep these safeguards current.
International users. The Stage is operated from the United States, and your information is stored and processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate, which may have data-protection laws different from your own. If you use the Services from the EU, UK, EEA, or elsewhere outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to the United States, and we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for those transfers. You can contact us at privacy@thestage.actor for more information.
6. Do We Collect Information From Minors?
We do not knowingly collect, solicit data from, or market to children under 13 years of age, nor do we knowingly sell such personal information. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 13 years old. If you are 13 to 17, you represent that a parent or guardian is aware of and permits your use. If we learn that personal information from users less than 13 years of age has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records. If you become aware of any data we may have collected from children under 13, please contact us at privacy@thestage.actor.
If you're 13 to 17, here's a plain-language summary for younger actors. The Stage is private by default. Nothing you make is public until you choose to publish it, and even then your profile is only reachable through the link you share. It is never listed in a search engine or a public directory. While you're under 18, we automatically do a few extra things to keep you safer:
- If you're under 16, we don't track how you use the app. We turn usage analytics off entirely, so we are not building a behavioral profile of you. If you're 16 or 17, we use only first-party analytics to improve the app, and you can turn it off anytime in Settings.
- We don't send you marketing email. For users under 16, we keep you off our marketing list. You will still get essential account email such as sign-in codes and account notices.
- We keep your location off your public profile. Even if you fill it in and switch it on, your city stays off your public page, and off the preview card people see when your link is shared, until you turn 18.
- Strangers can't find your profile by searching online. We tell search engines not to list any shared profile page.
- We ask for as little as possible. At sign-up we only collect your birth month and year, never the exact day, and only to confirm your age.
- We never tell an advertiser that a minor signed up. When an adult creates an account, we tell our advertising partners that a sign-up happened, so we can tell which of our ads actually worked. That message carries nothing you have made or written in the app, and it identifies you only by a scrambled, one-way version of your email address. If you are under 16, we do not send it at all. This check happens on our servers, against the birth date you gave us — not in your browser, where it could be tampered with.
- Our marketing website never learns who you are. The website at thestage.actor asks for nothing: no email, no name, no age. It is a brochure with one button on it, and that button sends you here. It measures anonymous visits with advertising cookies, like most websites do, and you can switch those off at any time using Your Privacy Choices in the footer. Because it never learns anyone's age, there is no age for it to protect — the protection lives in the app, where your age is actually known.
We only use the information we do collect to run the parts of The Stage you signed up to use, such as storing your headshots, scenes, auditions, and calendar. We do not use a minor's information for anything that is not part of running the product itself.
7. What Are Your Privacy Rights?
Withdrawing your consent: If we are relying on your consent to process your personal information, which may be express and/or implied consent depending on the applicable law, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us using the contact details provided in the section "How Can You Contact Us About This Notice?" below.
However, please note that this will not affect the lawfulness of the processing before its withdrawal nor, when applicable law allows, will it affect the processing of your personal information conducted in reliance on lawful processing grounds other than consent.
EU, UK, and EEA residents. If you are located in the EU, UK, or EEA, you have the right to access your personal data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, and receive a portable copy of it. You can exercise most of these rights yourself in the app (data export and account deletion are self-serve in Settings), or by emailing us at privacy@thestage.actor. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection supervisory authority. The controller of your personal data is The Stage LLC.
Opting out of marketing and promotional communications: You can unsubscribe from our marketing and promotional communications at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link in the emails that we send, or by contacting us using the details provided in the section "How Can You Contact Us About This Notice?" below. You will then be removed from the marketing lists. However, we may still communicate with you. For example, to send you service-related messages that are necessary for the administration and use of your account, to respond to service requests, or for other non-marketing purposes.
Account Information
If you would at any time like to review or change the information in your account or terminate your account, you can:
- Log in to your account settings and update your user account.
- Contact us using the contact information provided.
Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases. However, we may retain some information in our files to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our legal terms, and/or comply with applicable legal requirements.
If you have questions or comments about your privacy rights, you may email us at privacy@thestage.actor.
8. Your Privacy Choices, and Controls For Do-Not-Track and Global Privacy Control (GPC) Signals
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information. On our marketing website (thestage.actor) we do share limited technical information (such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, and the pages you viewed) with advertising partners so we can measure how our advertising performs. Under California and several other US state privacy laws, that counts as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising, and you have the right to opt out.
You can opt out in any of these ways, and you do not need an account to do it:
- Use the "Your Privacy Choices" link in the footer of our website. This turns off advertising cookies and usage analytics in that browser.
- Turn usage analytics off in Settings inside the app, which applies to your account across your devices.
- Send a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal (see below). We treat this as an opt-out automatically, and you do not need to do anything else.
We do not use advertising or measurement technologies inside The Stage app, and we do not share your profile, career, or craft content, your headshots, self-tapes, notes, or voice recordings with advertising partners. We do not knowingly share the personal information of users under 16 for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Global Privacy Control (GPC)
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser or a browser extension sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out, and we turn usage analytics and advertising cookies off automatically on that browser. You do not need to do anything else.
Do-Not-Track (DNT)
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. Because no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized, we do not respond to legacy DNT browser signals. We do honor GPC, which is the signal that carries legal weight in California and several other states.
9. Do United States Residents Have Specific Privacy Rights?
Categories of Personal Information We Collect
The table below shows the categories of personal information we have collected in the past twelve (12) months. The examples in each row are broad, illustrative descriptions of that legal category, not the specific data we hold. For exactly what we collect, see the section "What Information Do We Collect?" above.
| Category | Examples | Collected |
|---|---|---|
| A. Identifiers | Email address, optional first name, account name, and IP address. We do not collect your phone number or mailing address. | YES |
| B. Personal info under California Customer Records statute | Name, contact info, education, employment, financial information | YES |
| C. Protected classification characteristics | Birth month and year only (never the exact day), collected once at sign-up to verify age and apply safety protections for users under 18 | YES |

| E. Biometric information | Fingerprints, voiceprints | NO |
| F. Internet / network activity | In-app usage / interaction, used to improve the app (first-party; off for under-16 and whenever you opt out or send GPC). On our marketing website only, browsing and ad-referral data shared with advertising partners to measure ad performance (off whenever you opt out or send GPC, and never set for EU/UK/EEA visitors) | YES |
| G. Geolocation data | Precise device or GPS location. Any city you type into your profile is optional and self-entered, and it is hidden on public profiles for users under 18. | NO |
| H. Audio, electronic, sensory information | Headshots and images, self-tape video, and voice recordings you make of yourself. We do not record phone calls. | YES |
| I. Professional / employment-related | Acting credits, training, and roles you optionally add to build and share your public profile | YES |
| J. Education Information | Student records, directory information | NO |
| K. Inferences drawn from collected info | Profile or summary about preferences and characteristics | NO |
| L. Sensitive personal information | None | NO |
We may also collect other personal information outside of these categories through instances where you interact with us in person, online, or by phone or mail in the context of: receiving help through our customer support channels; participation in customer surveys or contests; and facilitation in the delivery of our Services and to respond to your inquiries.
Sources of Personal Information
Learn more about the sources of personal information we collect in "What Information Do We Collect?"
How We Use and Share Personal Information
Learn more about how we use your personal information in the section "How Do We Process Your Information?"
Will your information be shared with anyone else?
We may disclose your personal information with our service providers pursuant to a written contract between us and each service provider. Learn more about how we disclose personal information in the section "When and With Whom Do We Share Your Personal Information?"
We may use your personal information for our own business purposes, such as for undertaking internal research for technological development and demonstration. This is not considered to be "selling" of your personal information.
We disclose personal information to our service providers for the business purposes described above (for example, hosting, media storage, and email delivery), under terms that bar them from using it for their own purposes.
We do not sell your personal information. We do share limited technical information (such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, and the pages you viewed on our marketing website) with advertising partners in order to measure the performance of our advertising. Under California and several other US state privacy laws, this counts as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising, and you have the right to opt out at any time (see Your Privacy Choices).
This sharing happens only on our marketing website (thestage.actor). It does not happen inside The Stage app, and it never includes your profile, career, or craft content, your headshots, self-tapes, notes, or voice recordings. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of users under 16.
Your Rights
You have rights under certain US state data protection laws. However, these rights are not absolute, and in certain cases, we may decline your request as permitted by law. These rights include:
- Right to know whether or not we are processing your personal data
- Right to access your personal data
- Right to correct inaccuracies in your personal data
- Right to request the deletion of your personal data
- Right to obtain a copy of the personal data you previously shared with us
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights
- Right to opt out of the processing of your personal data if it is used for targeted advertising (or sharing as defined under California's privacy law), the sale of personal data, or profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects ("profiling")
Depending upon the state where you live, you may also have the following rights:
- Right to access the categories of personal data being processed (as permitted by applicable law, including the privacy law in Minnesota)
- Right to obtain a list of the categories of third parties to which we have disclosed personal data (California, Delaware, Maryland)
- Right to obtain a list of specific third parties to which we have disclosed personal data (Minnesota, Oregon)
- Right to obtain a list of third parties to which we have sold personal data (Connecticut)
- Right to review, understand, question, and depending on where you live, correct how personal data has been profiled (Connecticut, Minnesota)
- Right to limit use and disclosure of sensitive personal data (California)
- Right to opt out of the collection of sensitive data and personal data collected through the operation of a voice or facial recognition feature (Florida)
How to Exercise Your Rights
To exercise these rights, you can contact us by emailing us at privacy@thestage.actor, or by referring to the contact details at the bottom of this document.
Under certain US state data protection laws, you can designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We may deny a request from an authorized agent that does not submit proof that they have been validly authorized to act on your behalf in accordance with applicable laws.
Request Verification
Upon receiving your request, we will need to verify your identity to determine you are the same person about whom we have the information in our system. We will only use personal information provided in your request to verify your identity or authority to make the request. However, if we cannot verify your identity from the information already maintained by us, we may request that you provide additional information for the purposes of verifying your identity and for security or fraud-prevention purposes.
